Beet Leaves & Broiled Chicken

After learning that the beet leaves contain more beneficial nutrients than the actual beet, I have been harvesting the leaves and making sandwiches and all types of salads. The leaves are smooth, soft, and have a wonderful mild peppery taste. It's gone up to number one after lettuce for me.


Here all I did was put the broiled garlic chicken bought from Pollo Supremo, topped with their salsa and feta cheese. Using the leaves as tortillas is a great alternative. Of course there is nothing like handmade corn tortillas for your tacos, but if you're trying to loose weight or change your eating habits for a healthier lifestyle, this is wonderful alternative.
