After watching a few sustainable living documentaries, I got inspired to use some space on my San Francisco roof and start a garden without any experience.
I have a green thumb with houseplants, but wasn’t sure if I would be as successful with vegetables. So before I went on a massive project, I did a test run by ordering some spinach, radish, and carrot seeds. My dad built my first two boxes in January 2018 and here is how it turned out. I was so excited to see the new growth, I failed to understand the importance of thinning and properly spacing out my seedlings until later. (I guess my What Not to Do series just started too.)
