Zone 10b Container Garden in May

This year I took a week off to build this roof top oasis, only to be faced with 50 degree weather and constant cloud cover for my newly planted tomatoes that produces a ideal environment for fungus. I've been spraying them with H2o and Baking soda mixtures to give them a chance to mature. Yet, my herbs, spinach, carrots, Swiss chard, and kale seem to be loving it. I guess this year is all abut learning how to balance my responses to the weather conditions.

My retired parents, my dog Bently and baby girl Jazz really enjoy this quiet private space in the middle of noisy, busy Mission neighborhood in San Francisco.
